Customer REVIEWS
- I cannot say enough good things! My husband and I decided to work with Palate Pleasers to cater our wedding and it was one of our best decisions!
Most importantly, Amy (the executive chef) made the menu so personalized to us.
She helped put together an incredible meal that matched our personalities perfectly. Because I am a vegetarian, she suggested a caprese salad with a tomato carving station. I repeat, a fresh tomato caving station. My friends and family could not stop talking about it. My husband has a big sweet tooth and loved the idea of an ice cream bar with all the homemade toppings. It was delicious.
The company is also family owned and operated. One of my favorite parts of the entire wedding planning process was driving to Annapolis with my mom to meet with Amy Daniels and her family. They had so many creative ideas and made the entire process fun!
It was supposed to be a 15 minute stop by but we ended up chatting with their team for more than 90 minutes. You can tell they love the work that they do... and it shows!
Great food at an affordable price. Highly recommend!- Nicole DiAntonio - Kristin and I were stunned from the first tasting through the end of the wedding and with all the interactions in-between. Amy Daniels was the best caterer we could've asked for. Everything was coordinated, efficient, and over-the-top; the wait staff, bartender, and even the guys delivering and removing tables and chairs were all excellent.
As for the food itself we'd rate it 6 stars out of 5, and that includes the best salad I've ever had, the crab cakes, and beef tenderloin. I'll also say this: I'd never heard of polenta before Palette Pleasers, but it's a new favorite of mine. You don't want to miss out on their polenta dish.- Mark Pacek - Palate Pleasers did an amazing job catering my son’s Rehearsal Dinner this past weekend at Paca House in Annapolis! They really listened and helped capture my simple, but elegant Southern theme. They helped me navigate the vegetarian and meat eaters options gracefully with a delicious grits bar! You could add meat toppings such as braised beef, pulled pork, shrimp& bacon as well as vegetarian options such as roasted tomatoes, scallions and cheese. It was a smash hit! Everything was DELICIOUS. The desserts and specialty drinks were added touches of deliciousness:) I wish I’d taken pictures of the food bar/ dessert table… just a picture of the bar with their smiles!- Joy Hollar
- LOVE this place!! Each time I stop in it feels like I'm visiting a dear friend's kitchen and I get to have whatever delicious treat--savory or sweet--that appeals!! Like you would if you're going home to see your parents... 💙 Today I decided upon some bbq meatballs, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, and a dessert of vanilla cupcakes with white icing!! Everything was soooooo yummy and fresh and it filled my every desire for a "home-cooked meal!" The bbq meatballs were savory and perfectly portioned. The roasted veggies and mashed potatoes were fresh and so delicious. And, really, who doesn't love a yummy cupcake or two with sprinkles on top to finish off your wonderful dinner?!? I also highly recommend their quiches, their prepared sandwiches, and pizzas from their refrigerated offerings as well as their homemade croissants and bar cookies--all delicious delights! Palate Pleasers, you rock!!!- Judy Heise.
- My husband and I had the pleasure of using Palate Pleasers as our wedding caterer in April 2018. We had initially been considering a small wedding reception at a restaurant to minimize the catering decisions. When we fell in love with a venue that required an outside caterer we had numerous concerns, especially since I have a gluten-free diet restriction. Selecting Palate Pleasers turned out to be a fantastic decision. Amy and Eric were a joy to work with. Every step of the process was great. They made planning our menu easy and accommodated my diet restrictions perfectly. Our entire menu, minus one item was gluten-free so that I didn’t have to worry about cross-contamination. We chose to have a simpler menu that would be enjoyable for our adult and child guests alike. Amy and Eric were both open and receptive to our request to include chicken fingers and macaroni and cheese as part of that menu. We also chose to have a small wedding cake separate from pick-up deserts for our guests. Eric and Amy had a suggestion for a cake style, which we loved and the bakers at Palate Pleasers executed flawlessly. Our guests raved about the food. We’ve had multiple inquiries from various guests about recreating some of the items from our menu (especially the kielbasa hors d'oeuvres and stuffed peppers). The servers were very friendly and helpful throughout our celebration. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience beginning to end. We have also had the opportunity to stop in the store front and pick-up some treats. I have yet to try something I didn’t want more of. If you are gluten free, I strongly encourage you try their brownies and pumpkin cookies (when in season). If you are on the market for a caterer, consider Palate Pleasers whether it’s for something elegant or casual, your guests will thank you.- Colleen P..
- An AMAZING WEDDING! Thank you to the Palate Pleasers so much - the food and service was above 5 Star! The servers were exceptionally professional. Everything was on time and on (even under) budget. Absolutely delicious food! My wife and I could not have been happier. Compliments: "Wedding cake normally doesn't taste that good, yours was delicious!" "The steak was delivered a perfect medium rare - it was right off the grill?" "Who made that crab cake? Wow!" It goes on... Palate Pleasers appears to be a small operation in Annapolis - do not be confused - they provided phenomenal food and service to our large wedding. We are ecstatic that we made the right choice. Thank you again! 6 Stars Mike and Judy- Mike Hooper.
- Delicious food - great service. I visit their Eastport location 2 x a week and select from the gourmet-to-go refrigerated showcase, and/or hot soups. Can we talk? Portioned sized ginger-glazed salmon, wonderfully marinated then grilled-just-perfect beef strips, tender blackened chicken - all of it incredible. Vegetables (either with a combination of pasta or couscous, or straight), and bean dishes equally succulent. Favorite vegetable dishes include a baked vegetable medley with mushrooms and spinach, and a black bean recipe with red onion, peppers, cilantro, with just the right amount of (what has got to be) cold-pressed quality olive oil. The desserts are equally as good. The carrot cake is to-die-for (TDF). I could not finish this review without mentioning their crab cakes. Hello . . . from Baltimore to Ocean City I’ve had them all (a self-certified crab cake aficionado). The taste of the Palate Pleasers crab cake is unparalleled. No, I get the ones out of their refrigerated showcase, not hot out of the oven (although if you are catering I’m sure you get them hot), but the taste is unparalleled. I ask them for the recipe, but they insist its the quality of their crabmeat and ingredients that makes difference. If you get the crab cakes (know that they are not served everyday - probably a good thing), please don’t embarrass yourself and ask for cocktail or tarter sauce. Yes- they are that good.- Steve Hays.
